Volcano Hapu'u Fern cottage is just minutes to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and 30 minute from the Hilo Airport. This cozy, secluded cottage is nestled amidst a lush forest of fragrant kahili gingers, red flowering ohia trees, the dancing leaves of the olapa trees, enormous hapu'u tree ferns stately pines and an anthurium garden. The one mile drive to your cottage views one of the tallest mountains on earth, the world famous Mauna Kea, snow-capped mid November - January, and sometimes till May.
Volcano Hapu'u Fern Cottage is located in the historical Volcano Village, which is also a sanctuary for the native Hawaiian birds. Soak in your own private outdoor hot tub in an exotic ancient Hawaiian rain-forest, sip on your favorite beverage, and enjoy the flight of the zebra doves and experience the beauty of tropical nature, clean crisp air, peace and tranquility at the Volcano Hapu'u Fern Cottage.
