The fiirst stop is Charlevoix, MI, a Lake Michigan harbor town located 250 miles north of Detroit. From Charlevoix you can take a 2 hour leisurely ferry or a quick 15 minute flight.
As you enter St. James harbor you feel the slow pace immediately. Venturing to the cottage is about a 15 or 20 minute drive, most roads are not paved. When you reach the cottage you arrive at a quaint 3 bedroom cottage overlooking lake Michigan, located on beautiful Wicklow Beach. |
