Cancellation Policy: Initial Deposit and subsequent payments as they become due are made on a non refundable basis. The balance must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to arrival date. If a cancellation is made after intial deposit and/or any subsequent deposits have been made a refund may be given if the same dates are able to be re-booked. The intial deposit amount remains non refundable. There are no refunds if guests arrive later or depart earlier than the reserved dates. Reservations run from Saturday to Saturday.
Security Deposit: $250.00 due on arrival in cash, bank check or money order $US.
Other Policies: Inital Deposit: 20% This amount is non refundable.
30% due with return of signed lease.
50% + Cleaning fee due 8 weeks prior to arrival date.

Good Harbor House offers a 1 bedroom vacation rental and separate private entrance suite on the same property. The tastefully decorated, sunny apartment is on the first floor of a landmark Victorian home, with side entrance leading up to a grand wrap-around covered veranda. It is less than 1 block from famous Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. Good Harbor is Gloucester's "pride and joy" , a picture-perfect spot, with over a 1/2 mile of white sandy beach and dunes for glorious walking, swimming and great surfing when the tide is right.People come from far and wide to paint and photograph this very spot. A very short walk will bring you to the equally-famous "Back Shore", a breathtakingly scenic walk along the ocean.
Good Harbor House is also walking distance to food markets, restaurants, laundry; not to mention, the best ice cream shop! You are 1 mile to Gloucester center and harbor, where whale-watching and harbor cruise are available. Fabulous restaurants and quaint shops line the main street and harbor of the center. Beyond the center is the "Fisherman at the Wheel" Statue and Memorial, made famous by the movie "The Perfect Storm". Just 1 mile away you will find the nation's oldest artist colony, Rocky Neck, with galleries, quaint shops and restaurants on the water. Good Harbor House is also 3 miles to Rockport Center, another area famous for its coastal scenes, galleries, quaint shops and restaurants. Many visitors use Gloucester as a base to travel to other areas of the North Shore. Tourists and business travelers alike can leave cars behind and take the commuter rail train into Boston (1 hour) or Salem (30 minutes).
Good Harbor House has its own private entrance from the side veranda, which overlooks the private land-scaped grounds. Step out and enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful gardens, or just relax and listen to the birds singing. Families with children will appreciate the fenced in spacious grounds.
This is a non-smoking accommodation. Sleeps up to 4. Families with chidren are welcome.
