| located on the blue ridge parkway and close to 5 ski resorts, 5 min. to tanger outlet mall, tweetsie railroad amusement park, gem mining, hiking, grandfather mt., linville falls and caverns, moses cone estate and bass lake. white water rafting and floating, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fresh-water and fly fishing, horseback riding, specialty shops on main st.,blowing rock. blowing rock is the vail village of the east! blowing rock is the village in the jan karon series of novels about "mitford". it is truly a place out of a storybook! this condo rents for $4,000 per month with a 3 month minimum. has air conditioning but is rarely needed in this high elevation and breezy place. wonderful cool get-a-way in the summer. gorgeous display of leaf color in fall. lots of local artisans with "art in the park" once a month in summer. has several 5 star resturants: crippens and best cellar on sunset, the gamekeeper on shulls mill rd. has local favorites like woodland's barbeque and canyons with gorge views and live bluegrass band for sunday brunch, knights on main for hunt breakfast. come once and you will be hooked on this special place. |
