Cape San Blas, FL is 20 miles long & a mile wide at the widest point! St. Joseph Bay is on 1 side & the Gulf of Mexico is on the other. 10 of the 20 miles consists of St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. Your dog is welcome on the beach with NO TIME RESTRICTIONS! Ranked the #1 beach in the USA in 2002 by Dr. Stephen Leatherman & the #1 DOG FRIENDLY BEACH in the US in 2006! The beauty is that it's still uncrowded, non-commercialized & pristine! No commercialism & no highrise condos & 50% of the Cape being state park afford for long walks on unspoiled white sand beaches with no wild crowds!
Barrier Dunes is a secure, gated community with 2 fantastic pools. 1 is located directly on the dunes with a beautiful view of the ocean & the white sand beaches of Cape Sand Blas. Barrier Dunes also has lighted tennis courts, boat washing area, 3 fresh water fishing ponds, playground, boardwalks throughout & several pet stations!
St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is located right next door to Barrier Dunes and offers excellent access to the bay as well as 7 miles of undeveloped, unpaved pristine wilderness area, bay access, & beach. The park also has a boat ramp! The clear water bay is one of the cleanest in Florida & provides excellent snorkeling, boating, fishing, crabbing & scalloping.

Amenities:
Owners provide beach chairs, buckets/shovels, boogie boards, crab nets & buckets, cooler & a beach cart to carry it all--though the beach is a few STEPS. We also try and have all the little things that are easy to forget like spices, laundry soap, tin foil, DW detergent & lots of other extra! We want our Barrier Dunes condo's to feel like home! We hope this clears some space in your car & makes your vacation planning easier! Most of our rentals now have highspeed, wireless DSL!
Our rentals also have phones, answering machine, washer & drier, fully stocked kitchen, all linens provided, games, puzzles, books for all ages, kids movies, outdoor shower to wash those sandy paws and toes, covered parking, clothes lines for those wet towels--too much to mention! We also provide a guest dog dish & pet towels!
